During a recent event, NASA astronaut Christina Koch, who holds the record for the longest space flight by a woman, shared her experiences in space with an audience. She used a classroom projector to show North Carolina from space, emphasizing the significance of her home state in her journey. Koch highlighted the impact of her education in public schools in North Carolina, from middle school in Jacksonville to attending North Carolina State University.
Governor Cooper emphasized the importance of investing in public schools in North Carolina during an upcoming budget proposal to the State Assembly.
