Top performers from Week 9 of spring sports in the Memphis area high schools

The Memphis area high school sports top performers for Week 9 of the 2024 season have delivered outstanding contributions to their teams. On Tuesday, in baseball, Caleb Doty of Lausanne was the winning pitcher, allowing three hits in five innings, while also going 3-for-3 with three RBIs in a 10-0 victory over ECS. Two other players from Lausanne had notable performances: Warner Johnson and Collin Woods, each with two hits. At Trezevant, Larry Hampton had a standout game, going 3-for-3 with a homer, six RBIs, and four runs scored in a 20-4 win against East. Damarious Reed and Preston Reed of Trezevant also made significant contributions with RBIs and runs scored.

In softball, Ashlyn Bartholomew of Arlington went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in an 8-7 victory against Munford. Gabby Brewer was the winning pitcher for Arlington, while Breleigh Bunker had two hits. Addie Graham of Arlington had an impressive game, going 4-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs, and four runs scored. Laney Lawson of Brighton was the winning pitcher, striking out eight in a 4-2 victory against St. Benedict. Lola Sprenkle and Addie Thorpe of Tipton-Rosemark Academy (TRA) also had standout performances with RBIs and hits.
